"half-freezed" ableton live using impulse

hey

just recieved my copy of ableton live 6 edu. i'm preparing now for a gig with my macbook and build up a session in live.
i dont use any clips or stuff right now. just some synths and impulse for samples. when i'm using impulse sometimes my mac-keyboard doesnt do anything til i hit a button with my mouse. after that everything is alright. its not a big problem but i'm a bit pissed because of that.

does anyone have the same problem or knows how i can fix the problem?

my equipment: mac os x 10.4.10 ableton live 6.0.10 korg k-25.

oh and i have to say that i'm playing impulse over my k-25. i recognize the problem when i'm swiching to a synth over my mac-keyboard.
