Hello,
I am working on a large project. I have created 53 audio tracks. Lots of vocals samples. It seems that I am maxing out my CPU. Strange thing is: not much is happening at the same time, most tracks are frozen as well.
I see spikes over 50% while I have 2 frozen tracks and 2 tracks with audio loaded from RAM and even then the CPU is spiking! The only track is one vocal track which is using the EQ8 (4 bands only though).
I am using 512 samples latency for my RME Hammerfall.
Using Live 6.0.10
What might be the cause? Even freezing the tracks don't seem to work, why? I am able to run over 30 tracks in Nuendo at the same time in the past. So I thought I should be able to do something like that in Live as well.
Thanks in advance for help!
Strange CPU spikes

Disabling the Tassman plugin helped a lot. Was used in one track.
I also felt that my Echo Indigo io caused a little less CPU overhead than my Hammerfall. Still investigating the spikes, but I got it down to a not glitch lisening experience, so mixing goes well now

it was on a track for a few notes. the spiking happened on a different part which is kind of strange, but I guess that Live handles plugins in a way it should be ready to be used without any delays, so maybe even bypassing a plugin still causes some overhead. There's a huge difference between Nuendo and Live, but I guess Live is meant for live tweaking, so that makes sense I guess.
