my midi is behind 1/3 beat

Hi there... first post..

All the software midi instruments are running fine, using ableton 6.0.3 but when i use my soundcard (saffire focusrite) to play midi from hardware (nord/waldorf pulse) just drawing in the notes in the grid, the notes appear in the right place visually but they play too early.. ie. if i draw them on the 1,2,3 and 4 they will sound a fraction (even 1/3 of a beat) to early.. i've tried fiddling around with a few settings but i'm not much of a technical know it all... any hints/tips or ideas as to how to rectify this would be great..

Hi,

Can you tell me exactly how you setup is? Are you recording the MIDI from hardware sequencers? Are you just playing through?
Does this MIDI data play a VST synth, or external device?
Are you monitoring the incoming MIDI data?
