Am I the only one experiencing these rather strange and sudden crashes when
tweaking VST parameters? All of a sudden, Live simply disappears from my
screen, sometimes after the rather silly message "(irregular) pointer
movement" (something like that). It doesn't happen with all VSTs - I've only
experienced it with the Dblue Glitch and the Kjaerhus Classic plugins.
There doesn't seem to be any sort of pattern to this, other than that it
appears to be happening when I adjust VST parameters while audio is playing.
The really annoying bit is that, although the application ends, the Live process
is impossible to kill off in the task manager, so I have to reboot my system in
order to get Live running again, after which I get the possibility of recovering
my work.
Weird VST crashes?

I'm experiencing the same crashes with the Kjaerhus audio plugs. I haven't tried Glitch yet. I didn't get this on Live 6 or 7 on my Athlon 64.
What OS, Live version, sound card, CPU, etc. are you using? I'm now using Live 7 on an Intel QuadCore, running windows XP. The sound card is an Emu 1616m.
Luckily I don't need to kill tasks to re-load Ableton, so the sound card is a factor here. I was previously using a Steinberg card. I may try swapping them out if the problem persists.
I have the same issue whether I run Live in multi-processor mode or not and I'm using the most up-to-date version of the Kjaerhus plugs.
Any ideas, anyone?

Glitch has far too many parameters to use the instrument panel for control, but the classic series are quite simple units. Try expanding the control panel on the instrument (right-arrow beside the on/off switch) and use the sliders when you want to tweak the classic series plugins.
I know I couldn't live without them. Hopefully this means I'll be able to use them without fear of 'popping' Live 7.
It's still a worry though.
