me and a friend got together in july round at my house for an improvised session with all my instruments and bits and pieces.
the session lasted about 4 or 5 hours with about an hours worth of material recorded onto a little tascam 4 track tape recorder.
i then recorded each track separately with the others muted into ableton and started the long process of editing it all into songs.
we got it all sorted out the other day and did some artwork for it as well.
among other things we used : ableton for samples and midi instruments, slide guitar, ebow (yay), mandolin, bass, toy microphones, tablas, paddle drum, echopet and copicat, bontempi and casio keyboards.
the resultant album of material is called south sea daybook by third party. its sort of experimental, krautrock noise and ambience and i think that initially recording to tape has added to it too.
