Reason effects through ReWire.

Post by eib » Thu Oct 04, 2007 5:23 pm

I understand on how to send MIDI signals and samples into Ableton Live. But is there a way to use the Reason's effects (Digital Vocoder, Scream 4 Distortion etc.) in Live's racks? Or just master rack?

The only ways I'm aware of:

-bounce to audio files and load them in a reason device, such as nn-xt
-hammer
-rewuschel (associated with asio4all I think)

those last two utilize the functionality of the rebirth input machine, to get an audio stream into reason.

I have not tried them - and I don't know if it would work while reason is rewired to live

hmm i doubt it´ll work... i dont think you can have rewire in chains
and since rebirth is connected to reason via rewire, it wouldnt work...
correct me if im wrong though....

Was thinking of that myself eventually.
Nevertheless, thank you. :)
