Hey ? Isn't it a little bit expensive ?

Ok, a new version of Ableton live…
One version for one year ; that's so quick and not so efficient, don't you think ?
I love Ableton Live, i'm using it for many years now, but it costs !
In this new version we should have more, no ?
- Surround (5.1 or more) would be nice,
- Integrated sound editor with batch processor,
- MIDI tools better than a pen
- Merge Impulse and Drum Rack in one
- Merge Simpler and Sampler in one
- A better Arpegiator more intuitive
- Where is the collaboration with Cycling 74 ?
No ?

naah.. its a sequencing instrument..ricousin wrote: - Integrated sound editor with batch processor,
there are loads of sample editors that do a better job then an embedded Live editor will ever do..
basicly you want sampler to be part of the default package because all simpler features are on sampler..ricousin wrote: Merge Simpler and Sampler in one
hence simpler>sampler convert option..
Sampler should have been the free replacement for Simpler IMO, especially now with things like Drum Racks relying on them both so heavily. I'd have preferred Sampler to inherit all the functions of Simpler, and then replace it completely.

I agree its TOO BLOODY EXPENSIVE!!!ricousin wrote:Ok, a new version of Ableton live…

But I don't necessarily agree with the things you are asking for. Some of them already exist IMO.
I'm never happy about paying for new updates to Ableton Live... I'm usually excited about its new features, but the $129 bucks every year and the extra $$ for all the instruments seems outrageous to me. I've been purchasing updates since version 1 and have now paid well over the off the shelf retail price. This does not make sense to me... I think the long time users should be looked after better than that.
With such a HUGE bundle of highly professional software out there like Logic Studio for $499 US I would have thought Ableton would be dropping their prices some.
