You're wrong..

There's a "Reverse" Button on Sampler.
You can even MIDI map it. Or assign it to a macro and reverse your whole kit.

i wrote this tutorial a while back but hope this can clear things up:

sure you don't get the instant gratification of battery's reverse but i prefer sampler over battery anyday in terms of usability for designing sounds.

I should read more accurate.. Sorry for that.

I meant a simple "Sample Reverse" within Impulse or Drum Racks and not a workaround with sampler. Can't believe this again what Ableton did (not) with Live 7. BOO.

So at least I'm not wrong.

Its not a workaround. The button is there. Drum Racks are made out of individual instruments. Its not a single entity on its own.

Exactly. Each Drum Rack pad has its own Sampler and you can reverse any one or all of them as you want.

You can always drag a copy of the drum hit to the arrange window, reverse the clip and then drag it onto a drum rack cell, it's not really that much of a hassle. Cheaper than sampler too.

Right, this is the only way if one doesn't own Sampler. I think Simpler should be updated with true "one shot" mode as well as a Reverse button if it is going to be the standard instrument for Drum Racks. As much as I love the drum racks, Simpler as it is now still sucks for drum one-shots compared to either Impulse or Sampler.
