don't start a revolution out there ;)

it is no problem to mute clips in live. each track has it's own mute button. just click on the green speaker icon. it will turn grey and the track (and of course the clip in the track) will be muted.

mute tool

Post by kats » Tue Jan 08, 2002 2:18 pm

what can i do with my rival soul....
anyhow what i mean by implementing mute tool is
to be able not only mute a track complitely but
you should be able to mute ///clips///randomly without muting a track
example : like you can mute parts in Lets say
Cubase"s piano roll its very useful when you
work on in arrange window.
i would be suprised if mussicians never used this feature in your sequencers

hi.
i don't think it make sense to mute a single clip from a track, cause you only can play one clip from a track, otherwise they are on different tracks. Or do you want to mute parts of a clip?
Sorry, but i don't get your problem :|

I'm think he means temporarily muting of clips in the arrange page, so you don't have to delete them until you are sure you don't need them. Every sequenser app , ProTools etc can do that. Quite essential. A workaround is to drag the clips over to a muted track but it's not quite elegant.

muitng clips

i have a "mute clips" feature on my list. i personally want it for the arranger, but once it is in, it will work both, for arrangement and session clips.

a muted clip will proapbly displayed in grey or something like this and will just no play. but i cannot tell you when we will implement it.
