I either send them to a presonus pre amp or to my mackie mixer, depending on where I am (the mixer is set up in my basement and stays there, the preamp is a 2 channel fairly portable affair) and then into my soundcard, which is an Echo Indigo IO pcmcia cardbus II interface. Works good, although I would like a really expensive tube preamp if I had the money.

My current set up is pretty basic:

Synth, keys, guitar or bass ->
Behringer bass Vamp pro ->
Mackie cr1604 ->
Cheap soundcard option on the Super PC into Live 6

When I'm fully set up again I'll be using TLA, Marshall and Meek gear again. Plus probably an EMU 1212m soundcard I'll try and acquire soon. :D

When not sending to an effects processor...
I'll route out of a fireface 800, through a Radial X-Amp (the key IMO), to either a mono or stereo pedal. (My favorites for this purpose are delay pedals (Diamond Memory Lane and EH Memory Man Deluxe) and an MXR stereo bichorus. Distortion/tremolo and flange are other decent options. I'll route back through one my DI's.
