could some kind soul help me please, Ableton and Ozonic?

I am going firewire to ozonic.. balanced trs jacks out to KRK Rokit 5s.

Audix OM5 mic into XLR

Which should I choose in Ableton, my pre-existing ASIO4ALL or M-audio FW ASIO? The ASIO4ALL has lower latency?

I cannot get windows media player and Ableton to work at the same time (try to load WMP and it says something about the device may be busy???

In Windows sound settings, which should I be using Ozonic 1/2 or Ozonic Multi??

What kind of latency should I be expecting using the Ozonic as an audio interface in Ableton? I'm on a Gateway laptop with 1gig ram @ 2.x ghz. Currently I'm getting around 12ms, is that good or.... ??

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.. thanks

the ASIO4all drivers are fine, but they may not support all the features on your interface.

you should be able to reduce your latency by reducing the buffers in the control panel of whichever driver you choose. Once you start getting clicks and dropouts in the sound, the buffer setting is too low. 12ms is not too bad, but youll definately notice it if youre trying to play in percussion in real time.

i dont think Windows media will share a driver with another open audio program. but that might be driver specific. The same happens with my Audiophile 2496.

For some reason I can't change the buffer size when I use the Asio on the Ozonic. There is a little icon in the task bar for the ozonic, when I click it, it has parameters including the buffer size but, it will not change, it is stuck on 256. It has up and down arrows but they don't do anything. So I try to change it in Ableton but it won't change there either?

Anyone else have this problem?
