impulse note map routing problems

ok ok . just started to work with instrument rack...and got a few problems..when i create a instrument rack and put a impuls there...the start key is always on c3. when i create another impuls and push the key mode i can not get the first impulse sounds to c1 and the seccond to c2...how do i do this.....thank's already
