Dealing with an Ableton Live6 Crash and XP

When Ableton crashes, it crashes pretty good. It takes about 8 minutes before I can reboot it again. I try to use Windows Task Manager to force Ableton to quit, but it won't for 8 minutes. Any suggestions?
