Will fresh install of Leopard require Live activation?

I am tired of having to request unlocks for Live.

Does anyone know if doing an "Archive and install" of Mac OS X Leopard will require me to use yet another unlock? :?:

I did the upgrade, and the existing key in my home folder continued to
work.

If you wipe the drive (removing the unlock.cfg) then yes, you
will need to recreate it, by unlocking.

So if I keep that .cfg file I should theoretically be good? Ableton obviously thinks I am a crook.
