hey..
how go?
this question is regarding beat matching on ableton..
with some tunes that i load into ableton beat matching is fine..but with some after x amount of bars the beat match becomes wayward..
so for example if i have 2tunes running together+beat matched..1tune breaks down+i leave the other beat from the 2nd tune running behind the breakdown (usually on a 4bar loop)..when the 1st tune drops again the beat match is out..if i zoom in i can see that the little grid effort is not lined up with the breaks as it was to start off with..
i'm using mainly tech+electro at the moment so the beat is nice+square so i can't see that being an issue..if i was mixing something with more of a breakbeat then i could understand that a bit more..but all the same i has assumed that whatever you're using ableton to mix with it would automatically beatmatch..
i have tried dealing with this by adjusting the little ms bar this way+that+also by actually moving the grid it self to line back up..but surely there is a way that it can sort this out for itself..i'm not quick enough to manually adjust it everytime without hearing the difference..
it may be that i'm just not setting it up correctly to begin with..what i do is align the grid with the start of the 1st beat..is this right?
i've only been using ableton for about a week so if you know what i'm talking about+know the answer to my problem please don't get to technical with me!
thanks very much in advance..
Just A Quick Question..
Hiya,
My experience with having total tracks into live is that eventually even with electronic music, it will get out of sync.
What I normally do is set indeed the first beat right, then look if the warp markers are stil okay say at bar 25 - 30ish middle of the track and end.
There are some great tutorials on youtube which show you how others are doing this.

is one of them, but there are plenty others.

thats wickd..thanks very much.
so basically if i just go thru+set the markers up it will be sweet..
is the warp from here bit setting the bpm between the certain markers then?
example if say my tune breaks down on bar 100+then drops on 110 if i set the markers on 100+110 then warp from 100 ableton will manipulate the tune so that when it gets to 110 it will be in line with the beat?
sorry!i have really difficult ways of explaining things!
