Congrats! I would like to know also, is it possible to make a sequencer with just live, i've seen some lemur sequencers, but they always involve max/MSP...

it is theoretically possible, but it would still involve a vst plugin that would commumicate with lemur using OSC...something like the monochrome plugin for the monome...

Its possible without plugins too. You can hook it up to the Covert Seq.
A new version for Live 7 will arrive within a few days. Designed specifically for Drum Racks.

Its completely optimized to work smoothly with the full range of notes and features an enhanced chord plugin that also covers the entire note range..
What this means is: Its a sequencer to program layered beats in.
And it lets you resequence a programmed beat in virtually unlimited combinations.

I've experimented with a few videos to expalin how it works. Might require videolan (vlc) on pc if you cant play mp4 files.

This video explains the Global Controls of the sequencer: http://covops.dreamhosters.com/Covert%2 ... Global.mp4

This video explains how the pattern section works: http://covops.dreamhosters.com/Covert%2 ... tterns.mp4

This video explains how to program individual steps: http://covops.dreamhosters.com/Covert%2 ... -Steps.mp4

And this one explains how to create custom patterns and how you save presets: http://covops.dreamhosters.com/Covert%2 ... Create.mp4

There's also queglays sequencer. Just requires max runtime which is free.
It needs an update cause there's a little error in the patch, but nothing that'll prevent you from using it. I think its also available as a standalone application for pc and can be built as a standalone app for mac if needed.

I believe there are some MIDI timing issues if you just use the 4track sequencer and Ableton. But yes, Queglay's sequencer uses a Max Runtime patch which is free to download.

I believe its designed for the Impulse specifically. I've succesfully used it on the new Drum Racks though.
The patch is something you open with "max runtime". If you haven't installed it already, you should. Max isn't a must to own as a lemur user, but you do need the runtime software. It allows you to run every shared max patch, without the need to buy more software.

If you already got runtime installed then forget what I just said.

Connect the lemur to the max patch and set up the patch to send out MIDI from a virtual driver. MIDI Yoke or IAC... There's also a sync MIDI input in the patch I believe.

I hope this helps. Alternatively, I think the instructions are on youtube somewhere. But I can just find the demo showing the patch itself.
