if you have lots of peripherals that require the extra USB and FW ports,, go for the 17,,
if you want the portability go with the 15 and spend the extra money on RAM,,,
The 17 is a bit heavy if your gonna be carrying it arround in a bag a lot.

I'd agree, I have both one 15 and two 17" notebooks (PC, but view is the same). 17" is definitely a great view for mixing many tracks. I don't know what 'problems' one would have over the other.

the 17" is to big??? you all are crazy. shit i have been waiting years for apple to release a 20" MBP. get the 17" or you will regret not getting it later. the 17" MBP's are small computers. and if you can't find a sweet bag for it, you obviously have not used google in your search. i have a kick ass gravis bag for mine and it is not any more fragile then the 15". believe me, you will regret it if you don't. one day you will be sitting there thinking why didn't i just get the 17 incher.

And I wish apple would release a macbook (or a 12" MB pro would be even better) with at least 1680x1050 resolution. Lenovo now have a laptop with 15.4" screen and 1920x1200 resolution. Others take note please...
