Tempo change within the song?

Post by oolceeoo » Sun Nov 18, 2007 10:09 pm

Is there a way in Live 6 to change the tempo in the song without increasing the speed in the clip. I cannot just increase the speed in the clip because it contains vibrato and the vibrato sounds mechanical if I just speed it up. What I mean to say is, can I set the tempo to 130 for the first 5 seconds, then 145 for the next, then 160 for the next and so on?

I think if the sample is unwarped ie at its original tempo it wont change . But if you have it warped to start with it will change.

My work around would be to render the loop at the starting tempo and use that unwarped

I figured it out. For anyone who was wondering:

Song tempo can be automated under the Master Track. Under envelope display, choose Mixer. Then, underneath that choose Song Tempo. The song tempo can then be automated to one's liking.
