Well, the exotic Bremelos of Seattle and PulpFictionesque allure of Brussels notwithstanding, I have secured employ 45 minutes away.
While perhaps not as exciting as the other locales, there is an upside in that I am familiar the dialect, so I look forward to this.

The way those politicians are going at it.. Brussels will soon be located in the country formerly known as Belgium.
Kinda funny, I might end up like Tom Hanks in the movie Terminal
Its never going to get that far though. Its not like Belgium is Tjeckoslovakia.
Damn, spellcheck wont even pass "Tjeckoslovakia". How soon they forget...

beta testing is a good idea.Phijel wrote:true true...
we should de a beta testing cycle for our future government as well. I highly doubt it is can be released in its current state. Future heavy crashes seems unavoidable.
Ph.
If you go with me, my first act would be to make the official government business language English, but everyone else could speak whatever they wanted. Now, I know, this might seem a little oppressive, but just the opposite: not just making it easier for me-- this naturally ensures complete freedom of speech because when you complain about the government I won't be able to understand what you're saying.
Secondly, everybody gets to vote on everything through online quizzes (like those you see on people's myspace page).
Thirdly, all food and entertainment would be tax free, because I want you all to have a good time.
I'm not sure how I'm going to build roads and fix bridges and stuff, tho', you'll have to work with me on that.
[edit] well, my first 'Belgian waffle'-- thought a little bt about the food and entertainment thing, and I need to qualify that a bit, because I don't want to export US obesity issues, stuff that is bad for you will need to be taxed. But you'll get to vote on what's bad for you through an online quiz. I hope that's ok.

well, awesome constiution for the most part, but not to be dinging the competition... seems like a lot of overhead could be eliminatedhoffman2k wrote:The way those politicians are going at it.. Brussels will soon be located in the country formerly known as Belgium.

also, whooaaah hey don't get me wrong, not saying I'm trying to be king-- you've got a king. Just at first glance, there's a ton of excess process.
for example, you vote, and the government starts to work on what's the government is going to be like. Seems like by the time that's done, it could be time to vote again. Whose getting stuff done in the meantime? This is where it seems like a lightweight, low cost remote service like the one I could offer could help out.
just sayin'
