What is in the Discounted Box??

Does anyone know what comes in the discounted box (40 bucks) when going from Live 6 to Live 7 (boxed)? I just want to know if the EIC2 comes with the Discounted box or if I have to actually buy EIC1 first...I'm really confused.

I think you're not getting a reply because noone knows what you're talking about. Live 7 isn't actually for sale yet, it's still in beta. There's no pricing, no box, no discount of $40.

Where are you getting this info?

Check the ableton.com shop. You can only upgrade to Live 6 right now. If you do, it says you will get a free download upgrade to Live 7 when it comes out.

If you click Ableton Live 7, click the suite info, and go to the bottom and click suite pricing info, you'll come up with an option of buying a discounted box. It's been mentioned before in the past few weeks.

I don't see anything that says "discounted box?. Yes now I'm confused too. What am I missing?

oh, it's only if you've upgraded from Live 5 to Live 6 and are awaiting you free download. It's there on my account of the page you gave me.

Ok, I think I see what you're talking about, under Live 1-5 to Live 7 upgrade (box):

"For owners of EIC 1, a free upgrade to EIC 2 is included."

Seems pretty self-explanatory to me. If you own (paid for) EIC 1 you will get an EIC 2 upgrade. If you don't own it you won't.

I've upgraded from 5 to 6 recently. All that page is saying is that you'll get 7 free when it's released. If you've upgraded from 5 to 6 boxed, you'll get 7 boxed. If you've upgraded from 5 to 6 download (be sure you can live without the stickers), then when released, you'll get the 7 download.

when you go to your live 6 to live 7 upgrade, does the box cost 40 bucks? or is it free for you because you have live 6's box?
