CPU Spike when looping track...WHY?

Is this happening to anyone else in LIVE 7? I am a DJ who mainly uses LIVE in my sets. I recently downloaded LIVE 7 and whenever I try to loop a track, I get a huge CPU spike when I set the end of the loop. This has made LIVE 7 unusable for me and I'm forced to stick to LIVE 6 for now.

I would LOVE to take LIVE 7 out for some DJ fun, but this is a deal breaker for me. Anyone have a suggestion or a solution?

I've had strange loop behaviour when my buffer size is set low and
I have lots going on in a set. Clicks, CPU spikes etc.. so maybe try
increasing the buffer size in your preferences.
