B-control BCR2000 Ableton template conflicts

So Im using the built in Ableton BCR2000 template via the "dump" feature in the midi options.

It works well for me however, I just bought Tone 2 Firbird and their midi controller option is via having to assign cc#'s. Some of the cc#'s are in conflict what the Ableton template has assigned to the BCR.

I've tried reprogramming the BCR manually and/or turning the particular knob pre-assignment "off" (i.e. the cutoff for the plug says its supposed to be cc#74 but Ableton assinged a mixer volume knob to this cc#...I turn that knob off and try to remap an other knob to cc#74 but it still controls the original mixer knob in Live)

Anybody else experience this? Anybody know how to selectively kill certain cc#'s that the templates reserve and reassign them?
