time signature change with scenes: only global quantisation?

Post by p8guitar » Fri Dec 14, 2007 3:36 pm

When time changes are set by scenes in session view, clips that are'nt set to quantize= global play too late here (about 1/16 - 1/4).
scene 1 = 4/4, scene 2 = 15/8; global quantization = 1bar.

Think I'm missing something, but why mustn't I use the individual clip quantisation with signature changes?

this problem doesn't occur immediately when I open the set but when it has played about a minute, then suddenly the midi clips start too late.
Hi,

Can you send me a simple set that demonstrates the problem? You can send it to [email protected]

sorry, just edited my post a lot... the problem is the quantisation, not midi or audio.
but I can send you the set, if this would still be helpful.

Does it depend what quantize value the clip has? The important information is:

- what the time signature of the clip that's "late"?
- What launch quantization is it set to?

all clips have the time signature that their scene indicates. the 4/4 scene has 3 clips that are set to 4/4, the 15/8 scene has 3 clips that are set to 15/8 - no polyrythms intended here.

The clips are all set to global quantization, which is 1 bar. When a clip's launch quantisation is set to "1 bar", not "global", it will be played late. although 1bar is equal to global quantisation in this case... 8O
