ALS File to MP3 Format: Help Please

Post by LaLiko » Mon Dec 31, 2007 6:22 am

So all I need to know is how to turn my als project into an MP3 so I can upload it to the internet.

I attempted to render to disk as a wav but when I attempted to listen to the file after it saved, although it said it was 3:25 in length there was no sound.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

I had that happen in previous version(s) and then I think I figured out what I didn't do right. Basically you need to have the track recorded into arrangement view, verify it plays from that screen fine. Then highlight entire track and render it out (now it is audio and video per prior post in this thread). I used to have to load it into Sound Forge (or any other favorite audio editor) and re-save it as wave due to something strange Live does with audio (on PC anyways) that Windows Media Player can't handle. Once re-saved it's fine. Then you need to convert to mp3 with your favorite app (freerip I think will convert between wav->mp3 and vice versa).
