Post by studiesinsound » Wed Jan 02, 2008 1:10 am

Hi,

I love he "Resonator" effect in ableton adn love sending my guitar through it.
Does anyone know of anythng in the form of an fx processor or pedal that does the same thing?

not software, some sort of hardware device?

thanks.

Well it's a bank of comb filters, which are very short delays with feedback.

But they all sound different from one another.

You could try a Nord Modular or some fx racks that can multiple comb filters or using something like receptor to host a different comb filter effect (like drone box maybe), you just have to make sure it works with receptor.

Other than that, you might find some smaller companies making stand alone boxes or pedals.

You could also try out some vocoders or synths with formant effects on inputs, like the Radias (which also has a comb filter)...

Or there are modular racks...

It's all just alot of $$$!
