Where to get reviewed?

Hi Everyone, anyone know of a list of places or something like that that is good for submitting a first album for review? Or just places you might have had some good responses from? We make primarily electronic music with vocals, this is our first project and we are unknown so we're interested in getting some useful reviews (rather than sending off press kits to the circular file!) About the only places I sometimes read reviews is on itunes or amazon when I'm about to make a purchase. Get your music on those sites and then have some friends or whomever write some reviews for you. I don't really know if anybody really pays attention to music reviews in magazines or whatever unless it's an already well known artist and it's also an interview.
