Any web designers here ?

Post by BinaryB » Sun Jan 06, 2008 4:59 am

My host deleted my website so i am gonna make a new one.

I had a flash site but i would like to do something simpler and just add flash elements for design enhancements or media management.

I was thinking HTML/CSS for a simple layout
but I would love to learn how to add simple open-sourced things like a php gallery and members only forum but alter the look to integrate with the html/css colors and design.

 Any Links to other forums or tutorial sites would be very much appreciated. A forum discussion about this would be mega-exo n stuff too.

I just know my music is so good that all I need is a cool website to be famous.

www.joomla.org

Free Template site. Do a bit of reading. Sounds like what you need.

Gives you a framework for creating dynamic websites without really needing to know what you are doing. Will leave you more time for making music!

Loads of add-ons etc

have fun

For bulletin board software you could use phpBB and check out their boards for help.

If there's one thing that's better than Joomla, it's accessible Joomla: http://www.a8ejoomla.com/

It uses DIVs for layout instead of TABLEs. :)

Joomla doesn't come with things like a forum, but there are plenty that can be easily added: http://extensions.joomla.org/

(By the way, do any of the Joomla fans here have an answer to this: http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,248131.0.html?)
OS X, Live 9, Microbook II
