Having the same issue here as in 1) but without any USB Midi devices connected. Moving the mouse leads to crackles. Opened a new thread to avoid double posts.
Symptoms: heavy crackles when moving the mouse at buffer size 256. Not reliably crackle free when not using the mouse, even with small arrangement. System load is about 2-5% when running Live, depending whether Native Instruments plugins are loaded or not.
Using Reason with complex arrangement and buffer size 128 no problems. Same when using Native Instrument plugins stand alone. Even buffer size 64 is possible with only rare crackles.
Environment: Samsung Notebook, new and well equipped (Core 2, 2 GB RAM), Vista Business, RME Fireface 400, latest versions and drivers for everything including Live. Driver for M-Audio USB keyboard installed, but keyboard not connected.
Different to the Vista thread 2) it does not make any difference what desktop type I use, Aero or not.
As an input for the Ableton developers. Other ideas than waiting for the next update are appreciated.
