Its true. even with the new beta its crackling like a witch on all automation, to the point where - I can't use automation. I have a remote SL37 you see which won't play nicely with Ableton.
direct music > mme made no difference to me at all. working at 44.1Khz, eight audio tracks 7200 hard drive no other peripherals 512 samples latency crackling every time i adjust the volume.
Still only use Ableton as only DAW for all of my tunes, but i'd love to be able to do automation. having to use easy fade in Wavelab editor to do the comping fades on the four tracks of vocals. aaaaaggghh frustrating
Remember when Ableton had automation ? not with version 7
