Midi Mapping ala kid beyond

Post by majestic0424 » Wed Jan 23, 2008 6:27 pm

I'm new to live and ,I read that by pressing the return button I could switch from recording to looping what I had just recorded.
is there a way to get the same result through midi mapping? what do I map to get whatever clip I am recorded to switch from record to play....
hope that makes sense, waiting for some light from you guys
thanks

I was also watching some videos from kid beyond the beatboxer and was wondering what kind of mapping he had , and how he could get hands free like that . any feedback let me know.

thanks
mh

Have a look at this....

and try to follow it step by step...
It has some errors on [rec 8] though that you have to figure it out yourself
My advice is to learn how this tutorial works and experiment with it...
Within a week i was making my own rigs
Also have a look this:

This one is way easier and you don't need an extra app to launch
Of course if you want more versatility use them both

Cheers!

try this out - I've just finished working on it. Download midi Yoke if you are using windows, otherwise find IAC in your mac.
