Audio Warping - How do I turn it OFF?
Using 6.0.10, I'm trying to record an electric guitar on 3 tracks (whether all 3 tracks from the same physical input, or 1 track input bouncing to the other 2, same problem). I've done this before (both ways) with 5 tracks no problem. But now I'm getting what sounds like Warp artifacts as I record. Everything sounds fine until I go to Record (clips or arrangement, makes no difference). Then these disjointed sounds are added, which sounds like audio being warped against its will. Turning off Warp after the fact is useless. In Preferences, there's no way to turn Warp off for short clips. I have it turned off for long clips, but Live is forcing Warp on for every clip regardless. I've tried all the short Warp options in Preferences, nothing works. I have Delays and Beat repeat FX in there, but turning them off doesn't change anything. Anyone know a workaround or am I missing some basic DUH thing?
you cannot disable warp for new recordings. that's just how it is (for now?)
the critical thing is to use beats or repitch as the default mode. then stop worrying about warp.
absolutely do not use complex, which will ALWAYS create artifacts
