don't know if this has been discussed, but can you play different notes in sampler without making them stretch?

Do you mean play different pitches without the speed changing? Or do you mean playing different notes with only the speed changing and not the pitch?

Either way would require timestretch, which sadly sampler cannot do (Even though clips can). It is the most ridiculous oversight for this instrument ever.

Many other samplers can do it like Kontakt very well. Hell, even Live's own impulse can do it. But not poor old sampler. For making an instrument out of one sample, that's pretty important. And sampler lends itself well to being a quick one-sample type sampler, like simpler. Not having stretch ruins this though. :x In fact I'm so ticked about this, I'm gonna go start a thread yelling about it.

easiest way is to use a clip slot and map it to the keyboard. of course in that case you are left without all the sampler bells and whistles
