help renaming and consolidating

Post by giorgio » Wed Feb 06, 2008 10:15 pm

so i have this trick i do where in arangement view
-select all the clips in one track
-rename all the clips at once to the same name
-consolidate the track, creating a new audio file called whatever i named the clips

anyway the problem is once i rename the clips, i have to reselect them in order for the consolidate to work. anyone know if there is a key command or easy way to go back to my selection in the arangement view after editing clip properties??

i know this sounds like an odd question but it would streamline my workflow cause i do this all the time when compiling takes together and getting tracks ready to export for stems or for vocal tuning in an external app or just having a take that i can drag into the session view....

Click anywhere in the Arrange view where you do not make a selection, e.g. the grey area between the Overview and the Ruler.
Or use Alt/Option-ArrowUp on your keyboard to change focus from Clip view to Arrange view.
Or hover over the Arrange area and move the scroll-wheel of your mouse. This will also change focus.
