Hooking up my synthesizer keyboard

Hooking up my synthesizer keyboard
I am having trouble hooking up my keyboard. Am I able to use the sounds that are in the keyboard through live. How would I hook it up.

secondly, realize that there is a difference between a "keyboard" and a "synthesizer", although the same piece of hardware may be both.
1. It sounds like you have the audio connections hooked up, since you say "I am able to use the sounds that are in the keyboard". You must mean synthesizer.
2. Hook a MIDI cable up from the MIDI OUT of your keyboard to the MIDI IN on your MIDI interface. Do you have a MIDI interface? You'll need one to use a keyboard with live, unless you keyboard is a MIDI interface (a USB connector is a good clue)
3. Also hook a MIDI Cable from the MIDI Out of your MIDI interface to the MIDI input of your Synthesizer. Yes, I am using synthesizer/keyboard interchangeably.
Now you can control instruments and sounds inside of Live, using your keybaord.
You can also use Live to control your synthesizer. No hands necessary.
