Please help the newbie!!!

Just starting messing with Ableton a few months ago. Running it on a Toshiba with Vista and an Oxygen 49.

Just a question.... I am looking to create some dirty electro house but cannot seem to figure out how to get any of these types of sounds out of the program. Specifically basslines.

Anyone have any help????

There are plenty of plugins with presets that offer what you're looking for, Rob Papen's Albino is a good one. U-he Zebra 2 is also good.
