Hello,
I like Live a lot, but missing a feature, so maybe you can help me.
I got a clip - containing an audio file and it is warped- now my problem:
I would like to synchronize the other clips to this without destroying the musical information, that means the clip contains ritardandos, accelerandos (=it is getting faster and slower, this is music, sorry).
I would like to synchronize Live to the real tempo changes of this audio clip without destroying these with warp.
Is this possible?
thx

Tempo depending on one track
It sounds to me like your after the master tempo option.
In arrangement view you can select one track to be master, rather than ableton warping this clip, it will change the tempo, to play it at it's original speed, all other warped tracks are warped to play along with the master track's tempo.
You can use this to let a tune play through from start to finish with all it's original tempo variations, or use it on small loops to extract a groove which is then applied to all other clips.
The button to activate it can be found when looking at the clip's options when in arrangement view, its just above the box where you select Beat Mode / Tone / Texture / Complex.
One more thing, for the clip which is set to master, the more warp markers you place on the track, the better results you will get (it will stick closer to the original tempo).
