Firstly I disabled my internal audio card, as per the instructions.
Then I followed the advice of some punter on Bluelounge forum, and downloaded a firewire card latency tool, or some kind of a thing.
It shows the different latency settings on all your different cards (or something). So I changed my firewire card to 255, like the guy suggested, and all the other ones to 000.
Its worked, pretty much. I'd thank him but I can't seem to register for that forum.
Anyway, if all else fails, rtfm.[/b]

Its a Toshiba Satellite. Google brings up quite a few people with this problem, but the say you need a "Texas Instruments" chipset, which I have.the_planet wrote:It sounds like a driver issue to me. If you have a desktop machine, it's probably your firewire chipset. MOTU doesn't play nice with certain chipsets. I went through three different cards before I found one that worked. IT was worth it though.
What is your computer?
Can you tell me which card worked for you? and how do you put a new card in a laptop anyway?! Nothings ever easy, is it.
