live lite novation version

hi everybody i have a problem i try to use the live version i've got by buying novation 2/4 but this version (available on http://www.ableton.com/pages/update)
only recognize wav files
all my music library i've got on aiff or mp3 is empty i've the folders but nothing in it

what can i do after trying several re installation on my mac (under leopard)

I have same problem (but I've Zero SL and running Vista). Do anybody have any ideas what to do with it?

accordingly to the customers relation service it's impossibile to read mp3 on this version ... only wav or aiff (uncompressed formats)

Hi,

that´s right: one of the feature-limits of Live lite versions is the lack of support for compressed audio (i.e. Mp3s, AACs). In order to use compressed files in Live lite, please convert them to WAV/AIFF files using a program capable of file conversion.

Ok, I guess based on how Live updates, it leaves older versions of the software in the applications folder creating a new live version folder. I just verified that you CAN import mp3s and aac files into Live version 6.0.7 of Live Lite. This may be the reason for the upgrade to 6.0.10, since it seems to be disabled in that version.

What I would recommend is if you need to import compressed audio, and you have the older version on your drive, use that one instead.

I hope this helps anyone that was having a problem. I'll probably be using this version to remix a certain radiohead song that I bought tracks for.
