random overload when using returns

hi all,

running 6.02

i tend to use a lot of return tracks, sometimes in the middle of playback some tracks just shoot up in volume and there is horrendous distortion and clipping, any ideas what causes this?

happens occasionally, very annoying tho...

Do you really refer to Live 6.0.2 or do you mean Live 7.0.2?

using 6.02, i have both 6.02 and 6.0.01 after an update a wee while back.

on very fast optimised music pc, notably it usually happens when there are 20 plus tracks involved and a lot of processors in use, almost always involving a compressor of somesort - (the processors settings never change tho).
