Axiom's a great piece of equipment. I wish M-Audio's sound cards lived up to the ilk of their controllers.

My music's not beat-based, per se, but for drum tracks, I prefer using the keys as opposed to the pads. The pads seem too volatile and unreliable. Keys are more dynamic, in my opinion. Maybe my pads are just on too sensitive of a setting. Either way, I trained myself on the keys for percussion for a good decade now, and you can't teach an old dog.

Cool video though.

Thanks for the responses. I use my keys for really technical beats like fast snares or high hats.

Trust me smashing those pads on time take patience and practice. I've been making music for over a decade, but sampling and button bashing for less than a year.

PEACE!

Cool video.

I love my Axiom too. Like a fine wine, it gets better with age, I'm serious.

I didn't much like the pads at first but over time the seemed to get a bit softer and feel much better now.

The rotaries too, with regular use, over time they lose that horrible click shit.

Greets.

PS - You have a cool accent.

Same with the keys. It seemed very stiff at first, but it does get better with wear. As opposed to the E-Mu Xboard, whose keys become loose and unusable after an unacceptably short time of use.
