'copy value to siblings' faulty in nested racks

Post by forge » Thu Feb 28, 2008 2:05 am

If you put a nested drum rack in a drum rack, say by grouping some chains together (like lo, mid, hi toms into a nested rack called 'toms') then do the same again (say lo, hi congas) then 'copy value to siblings' in teh second (conga) rack, for some reason the copy value to siblings shows (5) and copies to 2 of the toms in the previous nested rack

super annoying!

yea that sucks.
but what's even more annoying is when live will not open so you can't even try to recreate the issue your fellow user has to try to come up with a work around...

are you saying you can confirm it?

it's looking even more confusing now - apparently different parameters have a different number of siblings but I cant quite figure out how that is supposed to work - there doesnt seem like there is any method to it

if it just ignored the nested racks then there should presumably be at least 15 siblings as the rack started from the sample sliced to 16ths

but some are showing (7) siblings, some are (5) some 6 - there doesnt seem to be any logic to it
