I keep searching, but I can't find a descriptions of the 5 extra sine wave variants in Operator. I feel like I came across it before, but which one is from a DX, which from SY77 etc..? What are the rest?
thanks!
Opertator Sine wave variants
they're just sine waves, no need to sample from other synths
sine is a pure sine wave
then sine A adds a small amount of the first harmonic (twice the original frequency)
sine B adds a little more of the 1st and 2nd harmonics
sine C adds more of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd
etc.
fire them up with Spectrum

I see where you're coming from. I think they're referring to having the ability to apply skills learned on older synths with Operator.
if you don't have Live 7 you can download the demo and check out the sine variations with Spectrum, it's a fun exercise. (ummm for a dork like me at least
