Scoring to Video in Live 7

So in order to score to video, the manual is saying that Live plays back files with the .Mov extension.

I presuume that I have to have Quick Time installed on my computer?

And also is there a software freebie that'll rip commercial DVD films into a format that Live will read?

Rips directly to Quicktime...

For Pc I don't know of a free one, but must exist. Although I'm not sure it will encode directly into QT.
