hmm-weird-I keep reading conflicting tutorials
Can you or can you NOT consolidate a section in arrange view to create a new clip intended for use in session view, with the automation data in arrange view now embedded in the clip envelope/session view?
Re: hmm-weird-I keep reading conflicting tutorials
...no... the automation in arrange is not like a 'clip envelope' ...
for one it's absolute values...
where clip envelopes are relative to the position of the knob/fader...
and second... it's tied to the arrange timeline

i don't see how that would matter, automation values are automation vales, whether they are relative or static, 40% wet is 40% wet when it comes time to convert to clip envelope- the values are there. wouldn't affect the intended purpose at all, but I suppose this functionality has not been implemented yet, hopefully for Live 8.

...NICHT DON'T THINK SO...! it's like 2 sets of automation 'layers'...morerecords wrote: i don't see how that would matter, automation values are automation vales, whether they are relative or static, 40% wet is 40% wet when it comes time to convert to clip envelope- the values are there. wouldn't affect the intended purpose at all, but I suppose this functionality has not been implemented yet, hopefully for Live 8.

then 40% 'clip envelope' would mean 16% wet
