I dig the transitions.
Good tones, too.
The effects/breaks are also real tight.

thank you. my main self-reflective gripe about the song is that there are a tad bit too many ideas in the track... shouldve been broken down into 2 separate songs perhaps. I'll get the whole "cohesive song" thing down after a few more tries though.

What genre would you say it is?... I dont even fucking know.

If I had to , I'd lump this into the whole maximal-electro sound, ala Justice, Erol Alkan, Sebastian etc. I agree, nice effects and sounds. Perhaps these ideas could have been broken up into two separate tracks. Even though it's completely different, I like the chimey breakdown that happens, but maybe a bit too much of a contrast to the rest of the track, even though the nice breakdown/lead in comes in.

Production-quality wise, for a first track, this is far from terrible. Work on defining the ideas, because you have the sounds and production values at a good level already.

thanks for the detailed feedback man... im sure you know how much a little reinforcement helps to someone who is admittedly amateur.

I actually sometimes get anxiety about whether or not what I make is laughable or a legitimate attempt at music. I guess its just a consequence of there already being so much good music to choose from out there so no matter what, you're comparing yourself to a bunch of supremely talented and experienced people... which is unfair to beat yourself up about.

I'd have to say this is sounding very good.
I've just started messing around with live and put some tracks up..and I'm pretty sure this wipes the floor with anything I've done. Good tones, transitions..you keep it interesting.
