ableton live 7 not opening beacuse of vst

it doesnt open it gets to the point where it says scanning custom vsts an not going any further beacuse i set the prefrences to the wrong folder for my plug-ins. i am on a mac btw i have even deleted every vst and abelton and tryed to reload it but it saving the prefrences

Go to;
user/library/preferences/ableton/live X.X.X (your version of Live)

Trash the preferences.cfg you find in that folder.
