I freely admit this may be a clear case of RTFM but Im not at home right now so I'd like to see if anybody else is experiencing this.
So I've got a BCR2000 mapped to any given VST Synth plug-in and can freely tweak the parameters when the MIDI track is armed, of when the monitor of the MIDI track is set to "IN". However, when I've recorded some MIDI notes then play them back I'd like to be able to tweak parameters and not always have them recorded.
I cant find a way to do this though because once I start the clip playback, the only way I'll hear sound is if the track monitor is set to "IN" (which does not seem to respond to the knob tweaks) or if the MIDI track is "armed" (which will then record all my knob tweaks).
Is there a way to record a MIDI sequence, play it back and tweak it live without recording the MIDI tweaks?
I run WinXP, latest version of Live6, updated drivers for the soundcard, BCR, etc. CPU = Q6600 w/ 2G of RAM.
On a side note...is it me or is the Ableton forum very hard to search for specifics with? My search results returned 2700+ when I searched for "MIDI playback". I've noticed this with almost all searches I run here.
