faderfox lv2 track selection bug
faderfox lv2 track selection bug
I'm experiencing erratic behaviour when selecting tracks with the track select encoder of my lv2. this is what happens:
up to five audio tracks: everything works fine
6 tracks: rotating clockwise the selection jumps from track 5 straight to master
7 tracks: rotating counterclockwise, starting from master has the selection go back and forth between track seven and master. turning the knob fast will suddenly go back beyond track 7 (1-6)
7 tracks + return tracks: rotating counterclockwise backwards from master will do ok on the return tracks, get to track 7, then jump back to master.
same with more than seven tracks....
anyone else get this weird behaviour?

I only see some of this behaviour when spinning the knob quite fast, and then the only thing I can see that is out of the ordinary is that sometimes the selection will get back to master when spinning counterclockwise from the master.
Maybe your knob is a bit off. Have you tried contacting the faderfox guy ?

Hello,
Just recently purchased a brand new faderfox but at the moment I am having some major problems setting it up. Apparently after setting it up under the preferences tab in Live, the device is getting midi input however (say I would like to slide the crossfader on the faderfox), I'm not getting any visual input of the Live crossfader moving as well. If it is already mapped by default why is it not repsonding? Do I need to set this up myself?....(or maybe I'm not understanding the concept of "native support").
I am using Live 7.0.3, one midi usb port and the faderfox. Nothing complicated but it has been driving me absolutely insane. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Are you using the 'configuraton' files supplied by Matthius.
These are preset with the midi assignments (crossfader included) for the various Faderfox units and have all the faders , solo mute etc, already set up.
I've had the track jumping problem if I delete tracks or add a midi track.
I think you need to manually reassign these tracks using the 'midi' button in live.
Haven't tried to set it up in preferences.

i replied to your question in this thread

although if you say that nothing is working at all then there's something else wrong in your setup.
Have you set the "remote" button to "on" for the input port your Faderfox is on? (under midi ports in the preferences)
btw it's not quite clear from your description but you say you're using one midi port and the device is getting midi input... so do you even have a connection set up for it to actually send midi as well?
