Pops & Clicks with Novation Nio\XP

Post by craftycurate » Sat Apr 12, 2008 6:51 pm

I'm trying to find the optimum settings for my new Novation Nio 2\4. System is laptop Core 2 Duo 2GHz, Win XP Pro SP2, 2GB RAM, 7200rpm HD.

What kind of latency values should I be able to get from this kind of kit without audio dropouts?

I'm getting quite a few dropouts with overall latency of about 27ms which seems quite high to me ...

Thanks
Richard

Try turning your Wi-Fi off and see what difference that makes...

Great thanks - will give it a go. Heard there have been issues on OSX with Airport.

It was the DVD Drive causing DPC calls every 20 sec that was causing the dropouts.
