hello fellow abletonians,

I've just arrived at Berlin today and will be where for 4 days, anyone has any good places I should not miss? Anything from art to good vibes is welcome! I even considered visiting ableton headquarters, but i guess they don't have a guided tour eheh

Cheers!

The "weekend", a disco at the Alexanderplatz, is supposed to be good on thursdays, but thats probably the day you´ll leave I guess. Hm I´m not so much into the scene these days. Generally speaking, there are lots of good places, but they´re kinda hard to find, and some day they´ll be open, others not. A "classic" for tourists is the Berghain, a huge disco at an abandoned power plant, but I don´t know if its open in the middle of the week. I´m not up to date, but the "Cookies" used to be good on tuesdays. Bars that come to my mind: At the Tacheles at the highest floor is a bar, the weekend has a rooftop-bar, Club der Republik.

Buy a copy of Tip or Zitty for local listings of pretty much everything that's going on.

Depending what you're into, both Watergate and Tresor are open on Wednesday, and both are interesting places to visit anyway.

for art
nice galleries are:
- Kunst Werke http://www.kw-berlin.de/
- Daad gallery Zimmerstrasse 90

this site has a list of 15 galleries http://www.transartists.nl/database/pag ... .8002.html

Also now the Berlin Biennale is on http://www.berlinbiennale.de/

nice museums are
- Neue Nationalgalerie http://www.neue-nationalgalerie.de/
- Hamburger Bahnhof http://www.hamburgerbahnhof.de/

while Berlin is techno capital of the world right now, I found it really hard to find parties during the week. I'm sure there are some, but probably in a student flat somewhere. you should go from Thursday to Tuesday next time, then you'll have to much to choose from...

Yeah!

The rithmic section was very good, and the electronics duo reminded me early mouse on mars attitude with a bit of spacemen 3 hypnotic lines eheh

Very good indeed

Sweetjesus: i agree with you, its the coolest place of the world! Too bad only one more day..

Yesterday been also at the Sound Studies master, in the UdK, to get some info about a possible application of mine.. They where very helpful, but the only thing that bugs me is that the classes and the thesis are in deutch..

WMF haven't organised a party since autumn 2005 if I remember well.

and they had relocated to their Sommerlager before that. this location, with the open air yard and the multiple chill rooms was my favourite spot for summer parties. :P

I saw almost all bpitch artists play there, and even had a talk with Ricardo's mom!! those were the days.. 8)

I think Cafe Moskau only does private parties now

last time I heard, the WMF crew was relaxing in Sri Lanka or somewhere in SE Asia.. life's hard

come on guys, get back here and entertain us!!
